Youth Empowerment

GIM Youth Empowerment works to reduce youth unemployment and provide training, mentoring and support for young people within the community, including those who may face social, economic or personal challenges. We are committed to addressing the root causes of unemployment and helping young people build brighter, safer and more successful futures.

Our aim is to create equal access to jobs, education, apprenticeships and personal development opportunities for all young people in the community. We work to break down barriers, promote inclusion and encourage positive engagement between young people, employers and local organizations. Through guidance, workshops, mentoring and practical support, we help young people make informed life choices and reduce involvement in crime, gangs and anti-social behaviour.

GIM Youth Empowerment supports young people in developing employ-ability skills, accessing training opportunities, securing meaningful work and exploring entrepreneurship or apprenticeship pathways. We provide wraparound support designed to help young people gain confidence, achieve independence and thrive in their chosen careers, education or businesses.

Our mission is to empower young people within the community by creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where they can grow into confident, independent and socially responsible individuals. We are dedicated to helping young people realize their potential and access opportunities that may once have seemed out of reach. GIM Youth Empowerment aims to achieve this by:

1. Expanding Opportunities Through Community Collaboration

We partner with local organization, employers, schools and training providers to connect young people with opportunities that support their growth and future success. Through guidance, mentoring and access to resources, we help young people make informed choices about education, careers and personal development.

2. Building Confidence & Positive Futures

We help young people overcome personal and social challenges through mentoring, education and meaningful engagement. Our team supports young people in building self-confidence, raising aspirations and developing the skills needed to succeed in work, training and everyday life. We also promote understanding, inclusion and respect within the wider community by encouraging equality and positive attitudes towards young people from all backgrounds.

3. Supporting Employment, Enterprise & Skills Development

We empower young people to explore career pathways, self-employment, entrepreneurship and vocational opportunities across different industries and sectors. GIM Youth Empowerment provides tailored employ-ability training, business support and wraparound services that help young people achieve sustainable success. We also support access to apprenticeships, skills training and employment opportunities while working with employers to recognize and invest in young talent.

4. Encouraging Inclusion, Equality & Opportunity

We believe every young person should have equal access to opportunities regardless of their background or circumstances. Through workshops, coaching, community activities and support programs, we encourage fairness, inclusion and positive participation within society.

5. Encouraging Volunteering & Community Participation

We promote volunteering as a valuable way for young people to gain experience, build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen community connections. Volunteering opportunities help young people discover their interests, improve employ-ability and contribute positively to their local communities.

6. Creating Positive Pathways & New Opportunities

We work alongside employers and community partners to support young people facing barriers or difficult life experiences. We believe every young person deserves encouragement, support and the opportunity to build a positive future.Through our programs and initiatives, we inspire young people to make safer, healthier and more productive choices that benefit both themselves and their communities.
